Welcome to New Vision Day Nursery in Shooters Hill. We cater for children from 3 months to 8 years all year round. We aim is to help them mix socially and develop through a wide range of experiences and activities in a happy and safe environment.

We adopt a “home from home” like experience, which is what we find helps each child settle into nursery quickly. We operate a key person system, where your child will have their own key person who is responsible for your child's developmental stages.

"All children make good progress in their learning. Younger children settle quickly and older children are developing the skills they need to be ready for the move to school". Ofsted Report 2015

Amongst our staff is a wealth of experience within childcare and all staff are either qualified or working towards their qualifications. We have a large open plan space in which we have organised curriculum areas for the children to explore with toys and furniture that assist in the children's development. Children are grouped accordingly to their individual needs and stage of development and not just by age.

After school club and holiday scheme is available for children upto 8 years of age.  We provide a drop off and collection service to the surrounding local schools.   Please feel free to ask us for more information!

Baby Room

Welcome to the Baby Room. We cater for children from 3 months up to 2 years and have carefully designed safe and suitable areas for the very young children up to when they become mobile.

Because every child is unique we find that some children may need next to no time to settle into nursery life where as others may require a lengthy period of time. We recognise this and ensure that your child is given the time and attention needed.

As the children become more mobile they have their very own creative play and physical play area to explore. They also have their very own quiet corner to look at books and plenty of resources and equipment to stimulate their curiosity.

"Children settle quickly and show confidence due to good routines for play and meal-times". Ofsted Report 2015

We have a large open plan space for the 2-5's unit, in which we have organised curriculum areas for the children to access all areas and equipment independently. We have free flow access to the resources and the outdoor area which encourages, good social integration and the opportunity to promote independence and development.

The team works together to plan activities that are educational and stimulating for the children. Many activities are planned around the children’s own interests. Focused activities can take place in small groups or on a 1 to 1 basis where necessary.

Structured timetables and planned activities organises the day to day running of the unit, and enables us to monitor their progress, and areas to improve. Each child has their very own learning journal, which is what we use to record and monitor their development. The staff are able to identify any areas that need improvement and anything of concern.

"Children behave well because adults are good role models and teach them the rules of the nursery using discussions and pictures. As a result, children know how to keep safe, concentrate well on activities and are motivated to learn". Ofsted Report 2015

2-5's Classroom Area

Outdoor Area

We have a secure outdoor play area that is designed for all age groups to enjoy. There are shaded areas to enjoy the lovely weather along with sand and water pits, trampolines, cars and bikes and seating areas to explore.

We have a growing patch for the children to enjoy learning to grow plants and vegetables. We try to spend as much time as we can outdoors, especially when the sun comes out.

"They learn how to keep healthy with daily physical activity outside to run around and ride bikes. They grow their own vegetables which they touch and smell as they play in the outside kitchen". Ofsted Report 2015

We organise outings to local attractions, which help us to reinforce current planning activities the children are covering. The team works together to plan activities that are educational and stimulating for the children.
