Welcome to Little Linguists Nursery School, close to Tooting and Streatham in South West London.  We provide full day care for children from 3 month's to 5 years of age all year round.

Little Linguists was founded by a local working mum, Daniella Goodman. Like all parents choosing a nursery for her son was a big step and she searched avidly for a nursery she could trust but with the current lack of flexibility and affordability on offer she decided to take action in to her own hands!.

Whilst working in a bilingual school she witnessed young children’s heightened ability to learn second and third languages. She started to research the amazing learning capabilities of young children and realised a nursery could become an excellent opportunity to empower the next generation.

Little Linguists is the only French bilingual nursery in our area. Our aim is to provide quality care and education in a bilingual, stable, caring environment. We expect that children who join our setting will learn to understand a language in a natural and direct way, similar to how they learned their mother tongue.

Our professional staff are all fully trained, enhanced CRB checked and above all have a passion for childcare!

There will be a wide range of exciting and stimulating routine throughout the day and our curriculum is child centred based on learning through play.

"Children are happy and secure. They form close bonds with staff and others. They are well supported in settling into the nursery routines. Transitions between rooms are handled well and help support children's well-being". Ofsted Report 2016

The Early Years Foundation Stage will be followed allowing children to develop at their own pace. We expect that children who join our setting will learn to understand a language in a natural and direct way, similar to how they learned their mother tongue.

We will strive to continuously improve our service, remain ahead of the competition and to exceed our customer’s expectations.

We do provide for children with special educational needs (SEN) and will work with parents and outside professionals to ensure  all children in our care receive the best possible start to their futures.

"The well equipped, open plan rooms provide children with ample space to move and play freely. Children benefit from a wide range of exciting activities that encourage them to explore and investigate". Ofsted Report 2016

We offer a unique opportunity for all children to learn about another language whilst  experiencing a variety of learning opportunities offered by our qualified staff. We celebrate and embrace the concept of equality and diversity.

We try to teach the children about different religions and cultures from other parts of the world. We aim to give all children a good understanding of diversity through our daily activities.

We will also regularly participate in charity events so our children learn that helping others is important. We ensure that the children have as much fun as possible and offer an exciting range of activities for all age groups.

"Children are inquisitive and keen to learn. They develop good  communication and language skills, in both English and French, as they are encouraged by staff to use both languages in their play and activities". Ofsted Report 2016

We have lots of lovely Montessori materials in our classrooms. Our varied Montessori activities prepare children extremely well for their next step in education.
